As an organic certified farm we hand plant our produce, we tend to our weeds by hand and we handpick for market. We make our own compost and forage for most of our composting materials onsite.
Our woofers would be involved in these tasks and other on-going activities that constitute daily farm life. e.g. watering and irrigation, land care practices, chicken feeding and care etc.…
Our workday starts between sun-up and 8am. Woofers could expect to find their start time vary depending upon the days’ activities. During the heat of the summer months the workday may be broken up into two shifts, to take advantage of the cooler mornings and evenings. When the rains come and sets in for days, planting may take a back seat and other under cover farm activities may become the priority. Winter days are very pleasant so the start time may be a little later and we may finish up a little later into the day.
Depending upon your requirements and our availability, we offer a number of possible accommodation options, ranging from; tents supplied by us, which are located in a cozy internal environment, as well as powered areas if you are traveling in a van or caravan.
There is a comfortable woofer lounge and the use of amenities.
Some shared meals and some food, are provided.
Please note we are smoke, drug and alcohol free.
